To achieve an exposed aggregate look there are a few key steps you must perform. Start off by spraying a chemical retardant on the surface of the concrete before the concrete has cured. This prohibits the top layer of cement from hardening. Then, 4-12 hours after finishing the pour the contractor will power wash the thin layer of cement off of the surface.
